    Bags solved the problem

I could NOT keep lettuce and greens crisp. No matter what I tried - raising/lowering temp, using cloth to cover, zip lock with paper towels...

    These bag work!!

    THANK YOU FOR MAKING THEM.

    As advertised

I have four of Ambrosia bags. Rarely do I have to throw out my produce because it went bad.

    Nice Size

This bag is a great size for greens with stems, celery, etc. that are longer, plus spacious enough to store celery, carrots and green onions in one bag. Well made, easy to clean and seem to keep our veggies fresh longer. Great alternative to plastic! We just spritz with plain water every morning and this works well to keep them moist.

Have had this for about three weeks now and used it for broccoli and carrots and it kept them fresh for 2.5 weeks, which is great!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it for?

The Vegetable Bag is designed for hearty produce like carrots, beets, cucumbers, zucchini, and squash. The breathable linen supports steady airflow and humidity, helping vegetables stay crisp and hydrated.

How do I prep veggies?

Rinse your vegetables so they’re wet, then place them directly into the bag. The moisture helps activate the linen’s humidity-regulating qualities. If the bag dries out, simply rewet it with a quick pass under the faucet or a few sprays of water before placing it back in the fridge.

How do I pack it?

Stack heavier items like carrots, beets, or radishes on the bottom, and layer more delicate ones such as peppers, asparagus, or green beans on top. This helps maintain airflow and keeps fragile produce from being crushed.

Can I store root vegetables?

Yes. Root vegetables like carrots, beets, and radishes do well when stored cool and moist inside the bag. Onions and potatoes still prefer dry pantry storage.

How often should I wash it?

Wash every one to two weeks, or between uses if storing a new mix of produce. Cold wash, mild detergent, air dry completely.

Are materials sustainable?

Yes. The body of each Ambrosia Bag is made from European flax linen, a renewable, low-impact textile used for natural food storage. Every order plants a tree and supports Food Forward’s food recovery programs to help reduce food waste and nourish local communities.

Through our partnership with Ecodrive, every Ambrosia order helps plant a mangrove tree, off-setting carbon and nurturing a healthier planet
