    This was purchase number 2!

I bought a set and immediately put it to use with my Misfit Market delivery. Bags worked great to extend the freshness of my very fresh produce compared to before I bought my bags.

I ordered these several Vegetable Bags to expand my space to keep produce fresh. I find it the best size for my large kale bunches especially. HIGHLY recommend!

    Ambrosia vegetable bag

We bought it for storing potatoes - it works better than even expected. Just used some potatoes that were 4 weeks and 4 days old - no solanine, no bad patches. Firm and hard like they were new.

    Can highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it for?

The Vegetable Bag is designed for hearty produce like carrots, beets, cucumbers, zucchini, and squash. The breathable linen supports steady airflow and humidity, helping vegetables stay crisp and hydrated.

How do I prep veggies?

Rinse your vegetables so they’re wet, then place them directly into the bag. The moisture helps activate the linen’s humidity-regulating qualities. If the bag dries out, simply rewet it with a quick pass under the faucet or a few sprays of water before placing it back in the fridge.

How do I pack it?

Stack heavier items like carrots, beets, or radishes on the bottom, and layer more delicate ones such as peppers, asparagus, or green beans on top. This helps maintain airflow and keeps fragile produce from being crushed.

Can I store root vegetables?

Yes. Root vegetables like carrots, beets, and radishes do well when stored cool and moist inside the bag. Onions and potatoes still prefer dry pantry storage.

How often should I wash it?

Wash every one to two weeks, or between uses if storing a new mix of produce. Cold wash, mild detergent, air dry completely.

Are materials sustainable?

Yes. The body of each Ambrosia Bag is made from European flax linen, a renewable, low-impact textile used for natural food storage. Every order plants a tree and supports Food Forward’s food recovery programs to help reduce food waste and nourish local communities.
