Naturally extends shelf-life of vegetables up to two weeks longer.
Handmade from the heart in Southern California.
Ambrosia produce bags are born out of old world wisdom and modern day technology to provide a simple & natural way to keep vegetables fresher, longer.

Our specially designed flax linen Vegetable Bag inhibits the formation of bacteria and mold unlike any of the cotton produce bags on the market. The hollow fibers have a high absorption rate while staying air-permeable creating the ideal atmosphere for the maximum shelf life of vegetables in the crisper drawer.

    Like the vegetable bag

I originally bought a vegetable bag and a leafy greens bag. I liked them so much I now have 2 vegetable bags, and 4 green bags. I bought them all within a few weeks of each other and I do think the first bags had nicer embroidered labels by the zippers. The second bags I ordered had printed labels, and for such expensive bags I thought the nicer label should have stayed. I do enjoy using the vegetable bags. I'm getting in the habit of checking to make sure I keep the bags slightly moist. I've noticed broccoli and squash staying fresh longer, as they seemed to be the first to go bad. I like not having all the plastic bags getting in my way when I open the crisper. Obviously I think them worthwhile or I wouldn't have six. When I empty one I wash it by hand, and hang to dry over the laundry sink. At first I put them in the wash but since they're getting washed about every 2 weeks, turning them wrong side out and swishing around in the sink seems sufficient.

Good Looking and Lives Up To Promises

I bought two, sz med and large and I have been using them- with good results. I put two portobello mushrooms in one, carrots, a leek, celery, and rosemary in another- I followed the instructions and shook the water off the produce, wrapped a paper towel around the celery- probably didn’t need to- things are fresh- mushroom was in the bag for 2 days before I cooked it- still fresh.

Why We Love Linen

Flax linen takes less energy to grow and process, using fewer inputs and less irrigation when compared to cotton.

Linen absorbs and holds on to moisture better than other organic fibers, so it keeps produce hydrated longer.

The fiber is also highly breathable, allowing more oxygen in, and more ethylene out.
