A Full House, Full Hearts
Behind the scenes at Ambrosia Produce Bags during the holiday rush. Founder Jan shares a heartfelt reflection on fulfilling Christmas orders, gratitude for the community, and the meaning behind every box packed with care.
These past weeks have been full—really full. Long days in the distribution center, stacks of orders waiting to be packed, the steady rhythm of printing labels, folding bags, sealing boxes. My husband and I have been working side by side, doing everything we can to make sure every Ambrosia order makes it out the door in time for Christmas.
It’s tiring work. Physical, repetitive, sometimes late into the evening. And yet, it’s the kind of tired that comes with deep gratitude.
Thankful for the Overwhelm
There’s a moment, usually somewhere in the middle of the day, when I pause and take it all in. The hum of activity. The pile of outgoing boxes. The quiet knowledge that each one represents a home, a kitchen, a family choosing something thoughtful.
This kind of overwhelm is not lost on me. It’s a privilege. One we don’t take lightly.
Every order means someone trusted us—with their holiday gifting, with their kitchen habits, with their values. Every handwritten note, kind comment, or thoughtful email reminds us why we do this work in the first place.
The Heart Behind the Boxes
When we pack your orders, we don’t rush through them mindlessly. We think about where they’re going. A fridge that will soon be full of holiday produce. A gift opened under the tree. A small shift toward less waste and more care in someone’s everyday life.
That thought carries us through the long days.
Ambrosia has always been about more than bags. It’s about people. It’s about choosing better, even when it’s harder. And during this busy season, that purpose feels especially close.
From Our Hands to Your Homes
As Christmas approaches, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and your belief in what we’re building. Thank you for supporting a small, family-run business during its busiest time of year.
We’re tired—but we’re grateful. And we wouldn’t trade this season, or this work, for anything.
From our hands to your homes, thank you for being part of the Ambrosia story.
