Why Choose Ambrosia

✓ Breathable flax linen that helps maintain freshness
✓ Helps regulate humidity to reduce wilting
✓ Compact size designed for fresh herb bunches
✓ Reusable, machine washable, and made to last
✓ Great for cilantro, parsley, dill, mint, chives, and more

Fresh herbs benefit from a cool environment with gentle moisture and airflow. Plastic bags can trap too much condensation, while open storage can dry delicate leaves out. The Fresh Herb Bag helps strike a more balanced middle ground, keeping herbs hydrated without sealing them in a wet plastic environment.

About The Material

The Fresh Herb Bag is made from a soft, moisture-retentive weave of European flax linen selected to support delicate herbs that need gentle hydration and airflow.

This textile helps maintain a balanced microclimate in the fridge, reducing the extremes that cause herbs to wilt, dry out, or become overly damp.

Each bag is finished with a durable YKK zipper made in the USA.

Directions

Fresh Herb Bag | Moist Storage
  • Remove any wilted, yellowing, or slimy leaves before storing.
  • Rinse herbs if needed, then gently shake off excess water.
  • For delicate herbs, lightly mist the herbs or moisten the inside of the bag.
  • Place herbs loosely inside and zip closed.
  • The bag should feel lightly moist, not soaking wet.
  • Store in the crisper drawer or a cool area of the fridge.
  • Re-wet as needed with a spray bottle or a quick pass under the faucet.

Best for: cilantro, parsley, dill, mint, chives, tarragon, and leafy garden herbs.

Note: Basil is naturally more cold-sensitive than most herbs and is often best stored at room temperature in water rather than in the refrigerator.

Frequently Asked Questions

What herbs is it best for?

The Fresh Herb Bag is best for leafy herbs like cilantro, parsley, dill, mint, chives, tarragon, and similar fresh herbs that benefit from cool, gently moist storage.

Should the bag be wet or dry?

Use the Fresh Herb Bag lightly moist. It should feel damp enough to support humidity, but not soaked or dripping.

Can I use it for basil?

Basil is more sensitive to cold than most herbs. For longer storage, basil is usually better kept at room temperature in a small jar of water. For short-term fridge storage, use your best judgment and avoid letting it get too cold or too wet.

How often should I re-wet it?

Re-wet when the linen starts to feel dry. Depending on your fridge, herb type, and humidity level, this may be every few days.

Can I wash it?

Yes. Turn inside out, hand wash or machine wash on gentle, and air dry. Avoid machine drying.

Where is it made?

Each bag is handcrafted in Southern California using European flax linen and a YKK zipper made in the USA.
